What is Sulfamethazine?
Sulfamethazine is a sulfonamide consisting of pyrimidine with methyl substituents at the 4- and 6-positions and a 4-aminobenzenesulfonamido group at the 2-position.
It has a role as an antiinfective agent, a carcinogenic agent, a ligand, an antibacterial drug, an antimicrobial agent, an EC 2.5.1.15 (dihydropteroate synthase) inhibitor, an environmental contaminant, a xenobiotic and a drug allergen. It is a member of pyrimidines, a sulfonamide and a sulfonamide antibiotic. It derives from a sulfanilamide.

sulphadimidine uses in veterinary
First, It is used as a feed additive to prevent and treat the infection of Staphylococcus and Streptococcus hemolyticus, that is, it mainly treats avian cholera, avian typhoid, and chicken coccidiosis.
Second, It is used to prevent and treat the infection of Staphylococcus and Streptococcus lyticus. It has an inhibitory effect on Streptococcus hemolyticus and Pleurococcus. It mainly treats avian cholera, avian typhoid fever, chicken coccidiosis, etc.
Third, It is used as an antibacterial agent, used to prevent and treat infections of Staphylococcus and hemolytic streptococcus, and suitable for the treatment of hemolytic streptococcus, meningococcus, pneumococcus and other infections.
