Description
What is Metformin?
Metformin is an agent belonging to the biguanide class of antidiabetics with antihyperglycemic activity. Metformin is associated with a very low incidence of lactic acidosis. This agent helps reduce LDL cholesterol and triglyceride levels, and is not associated with weight gain, and prevents the cardiovascular complications of diabetes. Metformin is not metabolized and is excreted unchanged by the kidneys.
Metformin also is a first line agent for the treatment of type 2 diabetes that can be used alone or in combination with sulfonylureas, thiazolidinediones, incretin-based drugs, sodium glucose cotransporter-2 inhibitors, or other hypoglycemic agents. Metformin has not been linked to serum enzyme elevations during therapy and is an exceeding rare cause of idiosyncratic clinically apparent acute liver injury.

Metformin Benefits:
Metformin is the first-line first-line and full-course medication for the treatment of type 2 diabetes, mainly by increasing the sensitivity of muscles, fat and other peripheral tissues to insulin, increasing the uptake and utilization of glucose, promoting anaerobic glycolysis of sugar, and inhibiting liver gluconeogenesis. , Reduce liver glucose output, inhibit intestinal wall cells uptake of glucose and reduce fasting and postprandial hyperglycemia. In addition, metformin powder also has a weight loss effect, and can inhibit the biosynthesis and storage of cholesterol, reduce triglyceride and total cholesterol levels, improve the function of vascular endothelial cells, and increase blood flow. It is especially suitable for obese or overweight type 2 diabetic patients. Prevent the occurrence and development of diabetic macrovascular complications and reduce the incidence of cardiovascular events.
Metformin is a biguanide oral hypoglycemic agent. It can promote the uptake of glucose by adipose tissue, increase anaerobic glycolysis of muscle tissue, increase the utilization of glucose, reduce insulin resistance, reduce the absorption of glucose through the digestive tract, and lower blood sugar. It is used for adults with non-insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus and partial-dependent diabetes mellitus. For most juvenile diabetes and lean diabetes that are ineffective by sulfonylurea treatment, the application of this product can also lower blood sugar. Clinically, it can be combined with sulfonylureas or insulin to enhance its hypoglycemic effect. Obese patients can also lose weight with this Metformin Powder or supplements.
