Description

What is Rivaroxaban?

Rivaroxaban is an orally bioavailable oxazolidinone derivative and direct inhibitor of the coagulation factor Xa with anticoagulant activity. Upon oral administration, rivaroxaban selectively binds to both free factor Xa and factor Xa bound in the prothrombinase complex. This interferes with the conversion of prothrombin (factor II) to thrombin and eventually prevents the formation of cross-linked fibrin clots. Rivaroxaban does not affect existing thrombin levels.

Rivaroxaban is a developed oral anticoagulant and direct factor Xa inhibitor which is used in the prevention of stroke and venous embolism in patients with chronic atrial fibrillation, as well as treatment and prevention of deep venous thromboses and pulmonary embolism. Rivaroxaban has been associated with a low rate of serum enzyme elevations during treatment and with rare instances of clinically apparent liver injury with jaundice.

Rivaroxaban Uses

It has the effect of preventing thrombosis. Rivaroxaban is an oral bioavailable factor Xa inhibitor, which can selectively block the active site of factor Xa, and does not require cofactors, such as antithrombin Ⅲ, so that it can play Activity, which activates factor X to factor Xa through endogenous and exogenous pathways, it plays an important role in the medical measurement response.

The dose-dependent inhibition of rivaroxaban in humans is the activity of factor Xa. The prothrombin time, activated partial prothrombin time and quantitative monitoring of heparin measured by some reagents can see a dose-dependent prolongation, and the same for factor Xa activity Under the influence of rivaroxaban.

In clinical practice, rivaroxaban tablets are mainly used to prevent thrombosis or after surgery.
