Glycopyrrolate is an anticholinergic agent used to treat gastrointestinal conditions associated with intestinal spasm and to decrease secretions during anesthesia. Glycopyrrolate has not been implicated in causing liver enzyme elevations or clinically apparent acute liver injury.
Melting point | 192-195°C |
density | 1.3222 (rough estimate) |
refractive index | 1.6200 (estimate) |
storage temp. | 2-8°C |
solubility | H2O: ≥24mg/mL |
form | powder |
color | white to tan |
Glycopyrrolate benefits:
It is a quaternary ammonium anticholinergic drug that inhibits gastric secretion and regulates gastrointestinal motility. It also has a stronger anti-saliva secretion effect than atropine, but it has no central anticholinergic activity and can be quickly taken after oral administration. Anti-acid, antispasmodic and analgesic.
